Don’t Quit  A Conversation With My Mother  by: aurora l. threats  I’ve worked hard all my life  But, I didn’t quit  Logs for a fire  I would split  To survive you must have grit  I chopped cotton, picked cotton  Weighed and emptied cotton too  Some sacks were even bigger than me  But, I didn’t quit  I know it sounds funny  Oh, I prayed hunny  I prayed until God got tired of me And, gave me this house you see  I had to ‘tend to the hogs, the chickens  And, everything ‘round me  But, I didn’t quit  Talkin’ to the Father is key  In the rain and bitter cold  I walked more than ten miles  To school with books and a smile  I wanted to learn chil’  I was only four years old  When I started workin’ for the Master  Others - - I tried to help  Now I’m ninety-two - blessed  With courage and grace  Stay, stay in the race  Keep tryin’ and tryin’  Sometimes it might get rough  But, never forget to pray  And, please don’t quit დ A touch of love from Sunshine & Rainbows

LOCAL STORIES Meet Aurora Threats | The First Female To Collaborate With Ghana, AF On An Animated Short Film January 4, 2023   We had the good fortune of connecting with Aurora Threats and we’ve shared our conversation below. Hi Aurora, why did you decide to pursue a creative path? First I am so grateful to Shout Out Magazine for this wonderful opportunity to sound off. I decided to cultivate an artistic or creative career because it is that which lights a fire within me. That fire is my imagination, that fire is what allows my visualization to take me where no other pursuit has, and that fire inspires me in such a way that it inspires others. Ever since I was very young I’ve been drawn to the arts and creativity. I was born and raised in a small town my attention could have easily been diverted persuading me to follow the status quo. Assuredly, I did me, and because I did I am fortunate to be in this exciting moment. I am not saying don’t explore other opportunities or expand your vis

LOCAL STORIES NOVEMBER 8, 2022 Life & Work with Aurora Threats Voyage Houston Magazine Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurora Threats. Hi Aurora, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story? Supercilious is an award-winning short film on the International Film Festival circuit.  The short is an adaptation of one of my poems with the same epithet.  Supercilious is a beautiful story about a young Belle who was sidelined by her friends.  Belle decided to set goals for herself.  She became a winner rising above expectations.  She emerged as a graceful and successful young lady despite the obstacles that she faced. The ability to listen, follow and trust my instinct is how I have arrived at this moment. When I was about four or five years old I used to watch daytime soaps with my grandmother. I became drawn to, impressed by, and interested in acting and characters.  Respectively, it was watching soaps for entertainment that gave me light.  I wanted to

Supercilious - Best Kid's Movie

Sup ercilious - Best Kid's Movie Aurora Threats the visionary behind Supercilious.  Aurora's message of inspiration is to be inclined to think, to align, and to listen to your instinct - - trust it.  Your instinct is a natural frequency that no one can see, feel or hear except you.   Supercilious (su-per-cil-i-ous) was a winner in the IBDFF in Ontario, CA.  Aurora made the conscious decision to take her poem from words on paper and bring it to life in a special way.  And, just like that the words stepped off the page and into an award-winning screenplay inside the International Film Festival circuit. Supercilious is an adorable short film that encourages any and all to do amazing things especially when you've been written off.  If Belle can rise above expectation, from the bottom to the top.  You can too.  Give no attention to anything negative and it will have no power over you. დ A touch of love from
