Sunshine & Rainbows

In respect to the month of March “Women History Month”.  I would like to recognize some of the strong, fearless, and intelligent women who pioneered broke the rules, and changed the way we look at girl power.   Let’s say her name:  because of the magic born inside of her when you hear the word ballet, you think of Misty Copeland.  When you hear R-E-S-P-E-C-T you are reminded of the genius and Queen of Soul herself Aretha Franklin.  When you tune in to the “Wimberton” the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world you yearn to see Venus or Serena Williams.   When you think of black hair products you think of self-made millionaire Madam C. J. Walker.  When you think of the first female billionaire you think of Sheila Johnson co-founder of BET.  The secret network that got people of color over you think of Harriett Tubman and the underground railroad.    When you think of NASA’s hidden figures - - “Houston, we have a problem."  You think of the human ”computer” Catherine Johnso

What a beautiful day?  The skies are so clear, there’s not a cloud in the sky.  A walk on the trail seeing the flowers bloom as a gentle breeze makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.  The poetic mood and the euphoria of stopping to smell the roses, and experiencing an intense pleasure of happiness are not only refreshing but encountering a positive mindset.  The beautiful thing about time and space is along the path of life one can freely collect encouraging moments and jump off the train of thoughts that’s taking you nowhere at any given time. It's coming to realize, all the more reasons to go off the grid and look for inspiration that will keep you moving forward.  When others look at you all they can see is light. Because once you find yourself and start living your best life there's peace within.  Be the type of person winning not because you’re in a competition, but because you changed “the channel”.   You now understand that “until you spread your win

  On that note, what is enlightenment?  It’s, an OMG I didn’t know that!  Or, I get it now!  Reaching awareness is a bit like winning, or discovering something you didn’t know previously.  It hit without warning “like a ton of bricks”.  The odds are now in your favor.  Get this, sometimes on the way to a dream you discover a new one.  No one can expect the unexpected - but, at any given moment you can become alert. Maybe you discovered by traveling to a village, a small town, or even the country that fashion does not start in the stores.  Maybe while on this journey you discovered how relaxing it is to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  You might discover that grand daddy’s farm is not just animals, but it’s a moneymaking business.  At long last that which you never thought you could do it’s clear now that you can. Hello March!  The word of the month is “courageous”.  What this means is "march forward” no matter what happened yesterday, today, tomorrow, or the next day.  Whatever obstacles or challenges that might impede your journey are just a test.  I believe anyone can pass if one doesn’t allow the dispirited to get inside his or her mind and cause self-doubt.        Hey, just walk the thing out and don’t miss the train at the station.  Start a train and join hands with people who are positive and not intimidated by you or your vision, but like-minded individuals.    Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”   If you want a good life leave all those broken people alone.  If you hang around them your energy will become annoying and they will want to break you because they’re broken. They want you to lose confidence, steal your joy, subvert your hope, and spoil your dreams al
