Sunshine & Rainbows

Words of wisdom from my mother that have brought me through and inspired me to always use what others throw as inspiration and motivation to aspire.  Don't feel discouraged, when friends try to misuse you or even try to knock you.  Remember there is no person on this earth who hasn't gone through something.  Remember you have wings fly.  Remember to pray without ceasing.  Remember you have to tolerate some things to achieve the unthinkable.  Remember to treat others the way you would desire to be treated.    Remember to work hard in silence, you don't have to broadcast your every move.  Remember you can't serve two Gods.  Remember to remain humble and never look down on anyone unless you're picking them up.  Love yourself, let your light shine - - Shine honey shine.                                                                                        დ A touch of love from Sunshine and Rainbows

 

 

As I am just sitting on my sofa looking out the window into the universe I thought to myself.  Love is everything.  It’s everywhere.   Love is the most powerful phenomenon in all of creation. Love is light, it is so amazingly beautiful to observe, something so warming and peaceful to cozy up to, and something so thrilling to share with others. It knows no reason, it has no limit and it never ever dies.   In the words of Frankie Beverly, it’s a happy feeling.  Once it’s in the air and it enters the heart it brings joy so pure it’s inspiring.  L ove is that wonderful thing that keeps the world turning.  It makes you smile, it makes you cry, it makes you beam and it's that magic that completes your every dream. The clock is ticking. In approximately four days from now, we will be celebrating a milestone in history. Our first female Madam VP Kamala Harris will be sworn into history. She's black, a Soror, an HBCU graduate, brilliant, exuberant, yet sagacious enough to be the girl next door. I had the pleasure of meeting Maya, Kamala's sister about 2 years ago. Whom I can say was absolutely wonderful. She's a humble, soft-spoken down to earth individual. As most well know she was an MSNBC Political Analysis before becoming campaign chairperson for her sister. I hold dear our conversation and how she beamed as we talked about her big sister Kamala. I recall mentioning how proud I was of Kamala and in a soft voice she said, "we are too." Kamala and I exchanged hellos, hi Sorors a handshake with a big smile on our faces as she was surrounded by security. Set it off right where you are right now.  Hey, you to the left, hey you to the right take stock in your life.  For now, we are in a season.  Live in the moment and make the best of it.  Seasons do change.  Wearing summer clothes in the middle of winter has never made summer arrive any sooner. Therefore deal with where you are joyful.  Find out what God would have you do to occupy your time, talents, and energy this day, this week, and try not to look any further.  The word says to concentrate on today for tomorrow and its troubles would come soon enough. There will never be a time like right now in your life to do all that you have ever longed to do.  To accomplish whatever goals you have set for yourself.  And yes, you should have goals!  Find out what it is and get busy!  Begin where you are.  Be faithful with the little things. Go ahead, get on with the business of living the immediate life with all that is within you.  Be all that you can be now.  The rest will come soon enough.  

Light attracts light. Realize that only those who love the light, or are looking for the light will be enchanted by your light.  In spite of everything, keep strolling towards the light, and understand those that are for you will either join you or vanish like smoke.  Satan sends assignments into our lives and people who don't have our best interest at heart cannot remain in our presence because their darkness sooner or later will expose who they are. There's an idiom that says ... "don't shine so others can see you.  Shine so that through you others can see Him."  Authentically, your light is powerful, you are valuable and you are a prize to the world.  You're a shining star shining bright for all to see and to all the special things you are - - be the kind of soul who makes everybody feel like they are somebody.   დ A touch of love from Sunshine & Rainbows
