Slay In Your Lane

When you hear slay, what comes to mind?  It indeed is a word that you mostly hear being used in the black vernacular.  Slay emerged as a fashion colloquialism as a way to describe a person who was dressed to kill.

But today it has a whole new vibe.  It means to do something of great skill.  It means to rise to move from a lower position to a higher one; come or go up. It is an upward movement.  How many of you watch track and field?  In the 400 runners are required to stay in their lane.  We all have our own lane or lanes where you can set goals and roll at your own pace.  You don't need to be over here and zig-zagging across and into another person's lane.  Do you - stay positive, stay motivated, stay focused, stay in the race, and stay strong.

You don't have anything to prove to anyone.  Don't get caught up in trying to seek attention.  There's nothing in the world that can stop a true personality from thriving.  Think about this, "a lion never needs to tell you he's a lion."

A touch of love from,
