Not I, But God
I never set out to trailblaze. I was simply trying to hold on and make the most of a moment the world did not expect. But what I did not realize then was that God was working something far greater within me. While everything around us fell silent and shut down, He quietly opened a door inside my heart.
The scripture that says, “go in and shut the door,” from Matthew 6:6, calls believers to pray in private to enter a quiet room, close the door, and speak to the Father who sees all things in secret. For such a time as this, without even knowing it, through deep prayer and reflection, with my pen in hand, I built a door to a new world. When I finally opened it, I stepped into a new chapter, a milestone filled with purpose, a legacy gently etched into time, where my story would forever be woven into the fabric of world history.
In the stillness of my room, away from the noise of the Covid lockdown, I reached across oceans to Ghana, Africa, and found a young man named Eben Yelson, someone simply seeking an opportunity. I hesitated at first, but after praying and trusting the process, together with our team from California to Austin, Texas, and beyond, we created history with Supercilious, a short film that trailblazed a trail from America the continent to continent of Africa. That bond, born from uncertainty, blossomed into a far greater plan: two different worlds coming together for a shared purpose.
What seemed like stillness on the surface was actually a divine movement beneath.
The pandemic was not merely a storm; it was a divine invitation for alignment, purpose, and elevation.
I did not set out to trailblaze, not I, but God.
While the world paused, He shifted the paradigm.
For me in the midst of chaos; it was alignment.
What seemed like isolation was actually elevation.
What felt like limitation was truly preparation.
I did not follow a blueprint, I followed His voice.
All I know is this: "Not I, But God"
